You must have a powerful zoom to get that close to the moon. Even my 200X zoom can't pull the moon in to see it's definition like the shot you posted here.
6 x optical zoom; I the trick with my camera is putting the it on "spot" wich is an option in the white ballance section of the hidden place on it. most people with big fancy a$$ cameras don't think it does this well. now if I could just get it figured out how to take stop action without a blur on it.
